PHIL TAYLOR claimed a third successive PartyPoker.net European Championship with a super 11-1 defeat of Wayne Jones at the Stadthalle in Dinslaken on Sunday night.
The world number one followed up his 11-10 win over Terry Jenkins in the semi-finals with a superb display to see off Jones by dropping just one leg in the final.
When Jones missed one dart to take the first leg on double top, Taylor pounced on double eight to break throw and set the tone for the final, with finishes of double seven, double four, double three and double seven putting him into a 5-0 lead at the first break. |

Taylor, the ten-time World Matchplay winner, followed up Tuesday's tournament record average in a win over Barrie Bates with a scintillating showing against Beaton.

FORMER champion James Wade escaped a dramatic early exit in the StanJames.com World Matchplay on Sunday night, battling back from behind to defeat Andy Smith at the Winter Gardens.
The 2007 World Matchplay winner looked set to suffer an early defeat when Smith, aided by checkouts of 151 and 116, took leads of 7-5 and 8-7.

Anderson followed up a quarter-final appearance in Sunday's PDC US Open Players Championship by taking the £6,000 first prize in the third of five days in the New Tropicana World Series of Darts Festival.

TAYLOR WINS WORLD CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP
PHIL TAYLOR kicked off the New Tropicana World Series of Darts Festival with victory in the World Cricket Championship, coming from 2-0 down to defeat Mark Walsh in the final.
The event, held in the cricket format of darts, was the first of five to be held at Las Vegas' Tropicana Hotel from June 26-30, with $200,000 prize money on offer for over 150 players from around the world.

Well guess who forgot is was DUE about 2 weeks beforehand? Karl Holden wanted my darts so he could make me some exact copies but with minor changes I wanted as per my design. So I sent them to Karl (who received them on the 18th), forgot the trials were on until 2 days before hand.

PHIL TAYLOR won his fourth Rileys Darts Zones UK Open title with an 11-5 defeat of Gary Anderson at the Reebok Stadium.
Taylor followed up Saturday's world record average for a televised game of 118.66 against Kevin Painter, with victories over Adrian Lewis, Denis Ovens and Anderson on Sunday to take the £40,000 title.

Darts pro Mace the Ace failed to declare his £45k winnings
DARTS player Chris Mason has appeared in court after being arrested while preparing to compete in a national tournament.
The 40-year-old was at Newcastle Magistrates Court on benefit fraud charges yesterday after being forced to withdraw from the televised UK Open.
He has admitted not declaring £45,000 of winnings while claiming for benefits in Stoke-on-Trent.

PHIL TAYLOR eased past Wayne Mardle 9-2 to open his bid for a fourth Rileys Darts Zones UK Open title at the Reebok Stadium.

THE Professional Darts Corporation have announced a new partnership with the SignHealth charity, which will stage the DEAFinitely Darts event on October 21.
SignHealth is a healthcare charity for deaf people, committed to bringing better healthcare and equality of service provision to deaf people.

FORMER world darts champ Raymond van Barneveld last night revealed his family have been threatened by blackmailers for two months.
An emotional Barneveld told how he had been tormented by malicious calls demanding money.
